Lynwood Little League is a non-profit organization, run completely by volunteers. Our league serves children in the Lynwood and Lansing community. It takes a lot of teamwork to run this league efficiently and effectively. Our board members are working year-round, while many others give a lot of time between March and June.
In addition to the administrative side and the manager/coaching responsibilities, there are many other ways that parents can contribute their time to help our league. This year we are adding a volunteer piece to the registration process. We are asking that all parents step up and give at least 2 hours of service at some point during the season. Our league is typically not short on volunteers, but there are some areas within our workload that we struggle to find help. Giving parents a list of various tasks, and allowing them to sign up prior to the season, gives us a head start on who to contact once that event rolls around. We realize and appreciate that some parents have more time to give than others. That's why there are a wide variety of things to volunteer for.
All volunteers within the Little League organization must fill out a volunteer form EVERY YEAR. Once this form is run through the background check system, you are cleared and ready to help. Information on Little League's background check policy is posted, as are the volunteer application forms:
